VAMED MEDITERRA

VAMED MEDITERRA group, as a subsidiary of the international company VAMED, headquartered in Austria, entered the Czech healthcare field in 2008. Since then, it has been helping Czech patients solve their health problems. The parent group VAMED is a leading global provider of a range of services to hospitals, healthcare establishments and spa facilities around the world, from the construction of hospitals to the overall operational management of such facilities. The history of VAMED holding dates back to 1982, and the company currently operates in over 100 countries around the world.

The subsidiary VAMED MEDITERRA a.s. operates a total of seven medical facilities in the Czech Republic and also a secondary nursing school in Mělník. Throughout the group’s history, its individual hospitals and clinics have received a number of prestigious awards and certifications, both for financial stability and positive patient feedback.

The main goal of our group is to provide quality healthcare in order to alleviate or eliminate health problems and help patients achieve full health, return to a full life or at least improve their quality of life. Our intention is to provide quality care with the utmost regard for the patient’s best interests. Our staff strives to treat, nurture and heal according to the latest advances in contemporary health and nursing care.

The scope of care provided covers a person’s entire lifecycle, i.e. from birth in the maternity ward through acute care, to follow-up care, e.g. post-operative rehabilitation. At the same time, the VAMED MEDITERRA group specializes in intensive aftercare and long-term, intensive nursing care. We also offer home care and care for patients in the home environment.

First and foremost, the group takes care of Czech patients in its facilities under public health insurance. However, it also provides care to foreign patients. In particular, large joint replacements, bariatric surgery or robotic prostate surgery. This is mainly in cases where it is difficult for patients to get these services in their home country or at all.
